The SSI Advanced Freediver course delves deeper into the theory of freediving, enabling you to understand the physiology and techniques for deeper diving. You will learn the Frenzel equalization technique and how to use buoyancy changes during a dive to achieve Freefall.
The course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge development on advanced freediving skills and techniques required for deeper diving.
- Confined water sessions to refine static and dynamic apnea.
- Open water sessions to practice free immersion, Frenzel equalization, constant weight freedives, buoyancy control, and Freefall, as well as buddy procedures and rescue techniques.
The course aims for students to achieve a static apnea time of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, a dynamic apnea distance of 50 meters, and a constant weight freedive to depths of 20-30 meters.
Duration: 3 day
Depth: 20-30 meters
Minimum age: 15 years
